Dr. Daniel W. Lucas writes across genres because the questions he asks don’t fit in one. A systems thinker with a doctorate in leadership, he has spent his career examining the spaces between decision and consequence \u2014 in institutions, in relationships, and in the human interior.<\/em><\/p>\n

His nonfiction examines how institutions fail through accumulated reasonable choices, and how those who govern them bear accountability they could not have anticipated. His fiction asks a harder question: what does a person do when the systems that were supposed to hold them \u2014 social, spiritual, moral \u2014 prove unequal to the weight of actual loss?<\/em><\/p>\n
